FAQ
What Flipper checks, what it cannot verify, and how the Founder Beta works.
Do I need screenshots?
They are strongly recommended. Marketplace pages often require a login, so screenshots are what let Flipper read the listing accurately.
Does this work with Facebook Marketplace?
Yes. Paste the link and add screenshots of the listing and the seller's description.
Dealer listings?
Yes. Dealer and auction listings are supported.
Motorcycles or trucks?
The Founder Beta focuses on passenger vehicles, but the intake accepts trucks, SUVs, vans and motorcycles.
Is this a guarantee?
No. Flipper organizes evidence, identifies risks and missing information, and estimates a decision range using stated assumptions.
Is this a mechanic's inspection?
No. Flipper is not a substitute for a professional inspection, mechanic, title search or vehicle-history report.
Do you pull title or accident reports?
Not in the Founder Beta. Title and accident information stays labelled as an unverified seller claim.
How long does it take?
Each Deal Check is reviewed by a person, so turnaround depends on the queue. Your status page always shows the real stage — never a fake timer.
What if information is missing?
Flipper says so explicitly and tells you what to verify or ask before deciding.
How are repair estimates produced?
As ranges with stated assumptions, split between DIY parts-only and professional-shop costs. They are estimates, not quotes.
DIY versus shop — which do you use?
You choose during submission: DIY parts only, professional shop, or compare both.
Refunds?
Payments are not live during the Founder Beta, so no card is charged and there is nothing to refund.
What about my privacy?
Your listing, screenshots and report are private to your account. Files are stored privately and are never listed publicly.
Can I share the report?
Yes, with a private link you can revoke at any time. Shared views never show your name, contact details or internal notes.
